Porch is a coffee shop in Clark, located in a historic barnhouse built in 1904 along the Parade Grounds. These heritage structures blend American and Filipino architectural elements, creating open, breezy spaces. Inspired by this, we designed the brand to evoke a sense of fresh air and relaxation, mirroring the inviting atmosphere for families and friends who gather there.
How might Porch add a breath of fresh air to the space and community?
The logotype takes cues from bold, nostalgic Americana typography, blending a sense of heritage with a modern, youthful twist. Designed to feel like a lived-in brand with history, its strong typography pairs effortlessly with vibrant colors, reflecting the brand’s dynamic energy.
The rocking chair icon symbolizes the porch, the heart of the barnhouse. It embodies a space to relax, savor life’s moments, and breathe easy—a reflection of the brand’s philosophy.
The typography extends the bold, energetic essence of the logotype while incorporating soft, approachable details. Its flexibility in weight allows versatile applications, seamlessly adapting to the brand’s dynamic needs.
The brand’s photography is bright and crisp, capturing sunny, well-lit moments with nostalgic halftone effects that evoke warm memories. Layouts incorporate gingham patterns, reminiscent of picnic mats, used as borders and dividers to enhance the brand’s playful and nostalgic charm.
Illustrations depict people enjoying wide open fields—running, biking, flying kites, and walking—capturing the vibrant life seen from the porch. These playful elements are scattered throughout the layout, adding energy and a sense of fun to the brand’s visual storytelling.
