Burger Beast started in 2020 as a cloud kitchen concept by CloudEats, a pioneer cloud restaurant company with brands across Luzon. They serve classic burgers elevated by their house blend of ingredients carefully researched and developed by Chef Carlo Miguel. Their position as a cloud kitchen has allowed their customers to enjoy quality burgers nearly everywhere at any time of the day.

Inspired by horror film posters and the sometimes beastly cravings that creep up on you when you least expect it, our take on the CloudEats brand reimagines what a 24/7 burger joint can look like.

The local burger competition is literally stacked and densely populated. But Burger Beast’s advantage lay in its use of technology (cashless payments, seamless ordering, and multiple channels to place orders) as well as its 24/7 availability. We drew inspiration from the things that go bump in the night, be it an Eldritch horror or the post-midnight munchies.

The logotype of Burger Beast is a custom wordmark inspired by monster movie posters

To match the logotype, the chosen typeface Sharpie brings in a comical boldness to the brand. DM Sans provides balance to the brand which lives largely online.

Following the concept of unleashing beasts, the elements we developed were inspired by visualizations of transformation in fiction – eyes locked in a spiraling state of trance, teeth turning into razor sharp fangs, and clothes getting torn as a monster emerges.

The success of Burger Beast as a cloud kitchen has allowed it to expand offline. In 2023, Cloudeats opened a spot in Uptown Mall Food Hall and smaller pop-ups throughout Metro Manila.

Their latest pop-up in Capitol Commons, designed their stall after their packaging.
